Hey everyone. I waited a while to update Catalina to Big Sur, Finally made it happen !!! Hardware: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700 GPU: Asus Rog Radeon RX 570 8GB RAM: 32GB 2400mHZ (LP 16 X 2) Ethernet Card: Realtek On Board MOBO: Gigabyte b450 ds3h Audio : on board Realtek - got really frustrated trying to get the right kext, so i got a usb sound card.. works good. EFI is based on Open Core 0.71 , and i used OC_Gen-X it worked like a charm SUCCESS , this was my second attempt.. the first time around i was really impatient. Thanks to every body on this forum and a lot of Youtube , made it happen finally I think one of the biggest mistakes i did the first time around was that i did not upgrade my mother board Bios , it was still running an ancient bios version almost 5 update cycles older. I took the pain to get it up to date, may or may not be the only reason that things are working fine.. but im sure this has to do with the ratio of success in some way. the videos below really helped : [link] [comments] |
