Do I need to do something different with a Coffee Lake modded Skylake System?

Hi,

I just started playing around with a "hackintosh" and successfully got it semi working on one system.

I'm not trying to get it properly made and working with a different one but one issue i've run into- its a Sabertooth Z170 MK1 motherboard thats been modded and currently runs a Core i9-9980HK and a Radeon 6950XT

Should i be editing the config.plist based on the Skylake motherboard? and what should I be changing elsewhere so Sonoma supports the 9980HK and boots?

apologies in advance if I got something wrong, I've only just started the deep dive into mac OS etc..
