I was looking to upgrade my main driver (https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/b3spgk/z370md3h_rx580_i78700_with_bt_wifi_audio_usb_and/) for a long time, but was a little bit scared as updating the CPU would mean also replace the motherboard.

In the end I went for a really similar motherboard and prepared the EFI in advance by double checking many of the sources online 4 to 5 times :) It paid off because everything booted at the first try with the EFI I prepared...and I was really surprised by that.

I only had to re-do USB mapping (from Windows) and fix the audio by changing the layout id (although that was not super important).

So far everything is working, I just need to run some benchmark because the CPU is indeed thermal throttling sometimes (there is not enough ventilation in my case). But it seems that MacOS is recognizing all the threads.
