Macbook Air 2015 won't load after most recent Sonoma Update

Today, after all recommended updates for Sonoma were downloaded and I shut my Macbook down, upon restarting the progress bar won't go any further than pictured. I've ran Apple diagnostics and it found no issues so I'm really at a loss for what's going on. I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Ps. Sonoma was originally downloaded onto a USB Drive and not the hard drive of the Macbook Air.
