Hi everyone! This is my very first post over here. No, it's not actually. I'm having some difficulties posting from my primary account. Lemme introduce myself. I've got pretty good experience with Hackintosh, and I've helped several people in this community, whether it's an AMD build or an Intel 14th gen build. So, yeah, you can call me pro, lol.
But now I myself am facing some problems. I've got a ten-year-old laptop in which I'm running macOS, and I can't get battery status to work. I've got to either connect or disconnect it from the charger to show battery percent. Even when battery status gets visible, sometimes it's wrong, like it shows that I've got a 65000 mAh battery. For battery I'm currently using SMCBatteryManger.kext and ECEnabler.kext. I've spent a huge amount of time understanding RehabMan's Guide, and even though I compiled the DSDT without errors, I still can't make it work.
My laptop specs:
Model: Sony Vaio SVF15215SNB CPU: Intel Core i3-3227U GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000 RAM: 6 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Storage: Kingstone SSD 256GB My battery details:
Manufacturer: SONY Cop. Model: VGP-BPS35A Design Capacity: 2940 mAh Full Charge Capacity: 1789 mAh
Now, if there's any person who knows how to patch DSDT for working battery status, then please help. And since you'll be aware that we shouldn't use DSDT, can you also help me create an ACPI hot patch, i.e., SSDT-BATT.aml? I'll really appreciate your help from the bottom of my heart.
Regards,
