Need help with installing Ubuntu partition alongside OCLP Monterey.

Hi. So my OCLP installation works fine. I'm running Mac OS Monterey on a Macbook Pro Late 2011 15inch.

I want to partition my SSD and install Ubuntu 22 on the partition so I can boot to it when I need to. I'm using the computer for software development generally.

Now, I've come across comments and articles that describe how this (the 15inch) machine usually has come GPU problems and overall may be buggy in behaviour.

I would like to know if there are special steps I need to go through to achieve what I want to do considering the OCLP. Or does it work the same as though I were just running on High Sierra?
