Booting from an external NVME using OCLP

hey people. I’ve a bit of a problem. MacBook Pro 2016. I connected a TB4 dock which has a NVME inside. Cloned the internal to the NVME drive. The NVME shows up in “startup disk” under system settings.

it even shows up under the native boot picker when you start up. However, you really can’t select it there because you need to use open core to boot an unsupported Mac (right?).

In any case, my problem is that it doesn’t turn up at all under the OC boot picker. I don’t have the option to boot from it.

Is there a way to make the NVME appear in OCLP? Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Thank you.
