Can I restore from a time Machine backup from a 5,1 w/ Sequoia to a 6,1 w/ Sequoia?

Hey there. I made the mistake of accidentally trying to update to Tahoe on my 5,1 Mac Pro yesterday. The 5,1 is a work machine and getting Sequoia installed again is a pain, so instead opted to bring in my 6,1. I plan to just use migration assistant to copy over stuff from the Grater but once I migrate everything to the Trashcan, it just bootloops. I've tried using First Aid, I've tried doing it in the initial setup as well as thru Migration Assistant after setup. I made sure to uncheck other files and folders, And I also tried not transferring over applications, But it's still boot loops, forcing me to spend another hour and a half wiping reinstalling Sequoia on the Trashcan. I know I tried a couple other things as well but I don't remember what exactly I tried.

I'm curious to know if anyone has ever successfully done this, and what you did to make it work.
