Receiving this error usr\standalone\OS.dmg.root_hash OPEN! Err(0xE) OCB: StartImage Failed - Aborted
I have a
ryzen 7 9850x3d.
Asus prime X870-P Wifi. Bios version 1681
Realtek 2.5gbE family controller.
Rx580 (I have a 5070 but have removed it from my pc for now alongside the drivers to fix this issue.)
Wifi is intel AX210(I manually installed it because my factory installed wifi card was broken).
Inland TN320 1Tb ssd nvme m.2
Windows 10 Pro Build.
32gb usb drive that I used rufus to format.
My goal is to dual boot with windows 10 and mac os sequoia or tahoe at this point whatever works is fine.
I have tried installing both sequoia 15 and Tahoe 26 and still received the same error.
My bios has disabled secure boot, CSM, re-size Bar, and Iommu
I have enabled 4G decoding, SVM mode, and UEFI BOOT MODE,
I have reset Nvram mutiple times
I have used GibMacos, Macrecovery.py
Redownloaded fresh sequoia and Tahoe recovery multiple times. They always generate the same two files basesystem.chuncklist and basesystem.dmg
And generated multiple new EFI's for both sequoia and Tahoe. Using opcore simplifiy
I tested both apfs_aligned and without making sure to remove and add in config.plist everytime I make a change.
I have tested HfsPlus with OpenHfsplus, openruntime, and resetNvramentry
Ive changed Hide auxiliary to false
For Kext troubleshooting
Ive tested Lilu, whatevergreen, virtualsmc, restrictevents, applemcereporterdisabler, bluetoolfixup, intelbluetoothfirmware, itlwm, LucyRTL8125Ethernet, nvmefix, usbtoolbox, utbdefault, tried adding cryptex fixup too, added utbmap and removed it to see if that was the issue and it was not.
Generated and tested
SSDT-EC.aml
SSDT-Plug-alt.aml
Ssdt-usb-reset.aml
Ssdt-usbx.aml
Ive also tried changing my imacpro 1, 1 after macpro7,1 didnt work
For kernel patches
AMD Cpuid patches
Genuineintel
Pat fixes
Am5 pci enumeration patches
tahoe patches
And sequoia patches
Non-monotonic time panic patches
In kernel emulate section Ive tried dummypowermanagement both on and off.
When opencore loads it only shows 1. 32GB (external) (dmg) 2. Windows and 3. Reset nvram.
After I select the usb drive it loads some code then gets stuck and give me the error in the title and shows a circle with a slash through it and support.apple.com/mac/startup.
I really dont know what else to do and if someone can help me thatd be nice. Ive spent a lot of hours troubleshooting before I came here to ask for some advice. Im writing this on my phone. I'll add my efi folder in the comments as Im writing this on my phone. I will also be on vacation for about a week so any fixes anyone comes with will be tested when I come back. Although in the meantime I will be very active and answering questions that I can in the time being.
