Absolutely cannot get this setup to work

I’ve been trying for a while now to setup a hackintosh, but I keep getting the error “still waiting for root device” upon trying to boot the installer from a USB. I’ve tried multiple USBs, multiple ports and reinstalling via unibeast and clover EFI to no avail. I’ve also tried several USB kexts but nothing seems to have changed (USBInjectAll and GenericUSBXHCI).

My specs are as follows: ASUS Z270G Motherboard i7-7700k GTX 1080 32 GB RAM Installing to a Samsung 850 Evo Installing with 10.12.6 Sierra

I have successfully installed macOS on a different setup late last year with everything working (and no issues at all!), on the exact same SSD, but now I can’t seem to get past this error I mentioned at the beginning of the post.
