I've just spend three days of trial and error to get my RX Vega 64 to run flawlessly and figured I would share my findings, so other people won't have to piece information together like I did. As such, this applies mostly to the RX Vega 64, but I guess it is the same case for the Vega 56 / Vega Frontier and LC versions.
1) RX Vega 64 is semi-supported in the public release of OS 10.13.1, but build 6 of Beta 10.13.2 contains the native drivers (I guess for iMac Pro impending release).
2) It works okay in 10.13.1, but since the driver is not fully functional with RX Vega 64, it will hang and freeze A LOT. Apps like Chrome, Slack, Reeder and Spotify all caused my computer to lock up until I rebooted in safe mode and disabled them.
2a) Currently on 10.13.2 I experience the fans spinning up, even when theres no load at all. Not sure what causes this, so just be wary before upgrading. I'll update if I find a fix.
3) You don't need Lilu or WhateverGreen to run on either version, but it won't detect your graphics card in the hardware profiler without (I didn't notice any performance gain before/after).
4) You can use TonyMacX64 or any guide/steps you want to update to Public Beta if you are already on 10.13.1
I hope this helps someone out there :-)
