[QUESTION] Possible to transfer my iMac's main drive into hackintosh build?

Hey guys! Long time lurker about to embark upon my first system build tomorrow. I’d prefer not to have to start from square one on my new machine. What’s the best way to get my current hard drive set up in the hackintosh I’m building? Time machine restore?
