Hey there,
I've been looking around and I want to just get some questions answered that I cannot
seem to get answers to anywhere. Although I have found guides on on how to install MacOS High Sierra on
a PC, I want to have both my current Windows 10 set-up + a hackintosh.
I should prephase this by saying that this would be my first hackintosh installation.
Here's the build I currently run:
- intel i5 9600k
- Asus STRIX z390i mini-itx
- Noctua L12, bottom fan only 92mm
- EVGA GTX 1080 SC
- 1TB Samsung SSD (main Windows drive + frequent games and frequent programs)
- 500GB Samsung SSD (used for storage and some big games, would use this drive for MacOS)
- How do I go about installing MacOS on a 500GB Samsung SSD and having my current 1TB Samsung SSD still running Windows 10 + games? Do I simply have to unplug the sata connector and install hackintosh into the 500GB SSD.
- Mojave doesn't work with an EVGA GTX 1080 SC, correct? I'd have to install High Sierra, I suppose (based on what I've read).
- Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of with 9600k + z390i?
I don't want to have to completely restore my Windows 10 build on the 1TB ssd. Hence why I'd use the 500GB ssd.
Thanks for the help!
PS - why do I want a hackintosh? Uhh... I have a jailbroken iphone X and airpods. I use my mother's macbook for some basic mac programs, and I'd rather have everything in 1 computer upstairs. Plus, I think it'd be really cool to have iPhone iMessages running on my Hackintosh + the whole "eco-system."
