Intel i8700k Asus Maximus X Code XFX vega 64
I have a scarlet gen 2 USB interface. I am looking for a bigger interface with atleast 8 inputs. I am not very impressed with the scarlet preamps, they are just okay. I checked online and in the stores for options. Apollo 8x and Apogee sounded great. However both are thunderbolt. As far as I know, there is no way to get thunderbolt 3 working on my mobo (I do have a TB3 card from a previous build). I can replace the motherboard with a different one with TB3 header. But before doing anything, I wanted to get some advice. Are there any better options in USB? Is there any way to use Apollo or Apogee without TB3?
