Difficulty getting netinstall booting on a laptop?

Specs:

• CPU: i3-5005u
• 6gb ram
• 240gb m.2 sata ssd
• uefi supported

I'm going through this guide, went through the install, got the following kexts:

• AppleALC
• Lilu
• RealtekRTL8100
• USBInjectAll
• VirtualSMC
• VoodooPS2Controller
• WhateverGreen

But when I try to boot from the usb stick I made, I just get a black screen.
