Have a ThinkPad X1 Extreme (X1E) that comes with an NGFF Intel 9560 which uses 2 antennas. This card doesn't work for Hackintosh from what I understand.
I was going to put in a DW1560, but realized it is like half the potential max bandwidth. DW1830 is like 75% of the bandwidth. Then found out about the BCM943602CS which has basically the same potential max bandwidth as the 9560. (Emphasis on "potential" since things never operate near or at it).
A couple potential issues I can think of:
- The BCM943602CS is PCI-e I believe and requires an adapter to NGFF
- The BCM943602CS requires three antennas
So my question is related to the antennas.
- Will the existing antenna wires be compatible with the new card? It seems like there is a different between NGFF and non-NGFF antennas.
- I need to get a third antenna: should it be NGFF or non-NGFF? (Probably answered by an answer to the previous).
