My hackintosh intermittently hangs up during the boot process. It used to happen on rare occasions, but since enabling CSM to get my DVI port working, it seems to be much more frequent. Hitting the reset button doesn’t take care of it, I have to force shut down the computer and let it sit for a couple seconds and power it back on, and that sometimes fixes it. Other times it will get stuck in a kernel panic loop that won’t stop until I power the machine off and start it again. The kernel panic issue has been an occasional problem as long as I’ve had this computer, but I can never find anything in the logs.
I haven’t booted it in verbose mode yet to see where it’s hanging up but I feel like it’s safe to assume that the boot hang is graphics related. I was curious if anyone has an idea what the problem is.
