Enabling XMP profiles breaks sleep/wake.

Just put together a 9900k + Gigabyte Designare Z390 combo with 2x16GB g-skill trident-z 3000/cl15 memory and am running 10.14.4. Its freaking amazing. Everything is working fantastic, aside from I cannot seem to get sleep/wake working when XMP is enabled. If I turn it off and run my memory at 2133mhz it works fine. When I go to sleep the system shuts down, but when I wake it takes me back through the bios/clover boot. Anyone run into this before?

I have also tried disabling XMP in the BIOS and setting the XMP profile through clover but it doesn't actually enable XMP for me.
