Is anyone Hackintoshing using virtualization with hardware passthrough? How is performance?

The virtualization method seem pretty attractive to me. I like the idea that you could run the host OS, MacOS and Windows all at the same time - no more dual booting. I was wondering how it feels over hardware hackintoshing? Is it the same or glitchy? How's the experience.
