Hey /r/Hackintosh,
Like the title says, I’m looking to build the best possible machine for under $700. I’m not sure what the most updated parts list is so asking here! Price doesn’t include peripherals (computer only). I appreciate the help!
A few details of what I’m looking for:
- Stable on Mojave with all major Apple features working (I have iPhone, MacBook Air)
- No dedicated GPU required now, but would like to be able to update with AMD in future
- Double boot to Windows for light gaming
- Dual 4K display (let me know if this is not possible with only integrated GPU)
- Compact form factor
I’ll be using this mostly for work and daily tasks (10 apps open - Netflix, iTunes, Microsoft Office, coding, light photo editing). Ideally want to build this machine to last me 5 years or so.
A parts list cross-checked for compatibility would be amazing (I’m pretty clueless about hardware) and if I did my research right, it looks like a Vanilla guide from Hackintosher is still the way to go? Any help would be great 😁
