After almost two weeks of troubleshooting and headache I finally got my machine up and running perfectly, Running a Gigabyte B85-HD3 with an Intel Core i7-4790k, a Sapphire RX 580 8gb and 16gb of g.skill ares DDR3 Ram. When I first completed the build my computer would not post until I changed my ram from dual channel to single channel, and MacOS Mojave recognized the ram at running at 1333mhz instead of the base 1600mhz it should run at. yesterday I set my ram back up in dual channel and in bios clocked my ram up as high as it can go and Mac now reads it as 1866mhz. I’m just curious if this will improve my performance in final cut or rendering at all? I know it’s not a huge improvement but it’d be interesting to know if it will make a difference since it’s hard to tell in every day testing and I am by no means a RAM expert.
