Upgrade components or start from scratch? (i7 4790K // Asus Hero VII MOBO // GTX 980Ti)

I have a stable hackintosh running Os Sierra (10.12.6) that's starting to show its age for 4k Video editing.

As you can see it's been a while since I got it (980ti, DDR3...) and I don't know if it's worth to change parts to increase video editing workflow. I run my OS in SSDs, have a scratch disk SSD also for caching but heard good stuff about using the M2 slot dedicated for that.

I'm not completely up to date in all the new trends so my question would be: Is there something that I could replace that would significantly help with 4k editing? Right now R3D files are too heavy for my system and grading/exporting other 4k sources is not fast either). Or do I go back to the drawing board and build from scratch for Catalina/Mojave?

Thanks!
