Very (very) new to Hackintosh, attempting my first vanilla install w/ Clover (following the sidebar guide) on an old Dell Optiplex 790 SFF. The computer will accept the USB I'm using as bootable, however as soon as I select the USB option in my BIOS it goes directly to a black screen, with just a blinking underscore cursor in the top left hand corner of the display. What should I do – even just to boot into Clover?
Specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i5 (2nd Gen) 2400 / 3.1 GHz
- No graphics card fitted
- Motherboard is a 0D28YY model??? apparently... not really sure what this means
- Chipset: Intel Q65 Express
- Install method is Clover EFI over USB, configured w/ Clover Configurator (no ESP – I tried but the USB wouldn't even register as bootable)
