Hi,
I just wanted to hackintosh my laptop coz WWDC was round the corner.
This is my 3rd time hackintoshing, but still im newbie.
I use Garuda Linux as my Host OS, and was tryin to boot to macOS Big Sur recovery. Unfortunately though, i get 2 errors, and idk why but theres no bootpicker. It just shows the error after 2-3 secs of boot.
Error:
OCS: No Schema for Misc at 5 index, context <Kernel> !
OC: Configuration requires vault but no vault provided!
I'm using the latest opencore package i.e. 0.8.1 [released yesterday]
I have thoroughly gone through my config, plist, following all the instructions on Dortiana Opencore, but no problems traced yet.Only thing i couldnt do is verify the plist file as OCValidate cant find my plist when path provided
Kindly note that i havent installed macOS yet
Specs of the PC:
CPU : i5-6200U [Skylake]
iGPU : HD 520
RAM : LPDDR3 8GB 1800Mhz [Dual configuration]
Storage Medium : 1TB HDD [i hav created a 256GB partition for hackintosh]
Ethernet : RTL810xE PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller [RTL8100.kext's modified version worked like a charm]
Audio : ALC3227 [The audio codec's name was changed to ALC282]
Working Layout : 21 [had previously installed on same machine but windows wiped its EFI, and i hadnt backed up my efi]
If required, i can share my config.plist, and even my EFI
Hope i can get it working by a week
