Is OpenCore project still supported to build Hackintosh on PC?

I always wanted to build new PC with dual boot windows and macOS. But is opencore project still supported? Are there any alternatives? My main goal was to have Windows for playing games and MacOS for programming. How can I choose hardware if it is still supported.
