Resolving Text and UI Rendering Issues in Sequoia
Display glitches in apps like Parallels Desktop or Gyroflow on a MacBook Pro 11,5 (Mid 2015) are usually related to the AMD Radeon R9 M370X drivers in macOS Sequoia.
Fixes to Try:
- FeatureUnlock: In OCLP settings, try toggling FeatureUnlock to 'Partial' or 'Disabled'. Sometimes this kext interferes with GPU-accelerated text rendering.
- Metal Backend: In Gyroflow or Parallels, check if there is an option to switch between Metal and OpenGL. Forcing OpenGL can sometimes resolve UI glitches on legacy drivers.
- Color Profile: Go to System Settings > Displays and try switching to a generic sRGB profile. Custom profiles can sometimes cause rendering artifacts on patched systems.
- Root Patch Update: Ensure you are using the latest OCLP 2.4.x patches, as they contain specific fixes for the AMD GCN 1/2/3 architecture.
