Resolving Network Connectivity in Sequoia Recovery
The 2010 MacBook Pro requires legacy networking drivers that are not included in the standard macOS Sequoia recovery image.
The Solution:
- Boot via OCLP USB: You must boot from the OCLP USB drive. The OpenCore EFI on the USB contains the kexts (drivers) needed to enable Wi-Fi and Ethernet in the recovery environment.
- Wired Connection: If Wi-Fi still doesn't appear, use a USB-to-Ethernet adapter or a direct Ethernet cable. These are more likely to be recognized natively.
- Create a Full Installer: The best way to fix a 'bricked' Mac is to use another Mac to create a Full macOS Installer USB via OCLP. This avoids the need for an internet connection during the reinstall.
Original Question: "Problems with internet while recovering the drivers"
A while ago I tried installing sequoia on a 2010 Macbook pro and it was ok, then I gave it to a friend and he tried to fix it. Months later I took it back and now its totally bricked, but I managed to get to the "Reinstall Sequoia" recovery page but it doesnt want to connect to the wifi or ethernet.
Is there a driver that i can download trough the pen drive or something?
