Pentium G4560 ASRock H110M-ITX Zotac Nvidia 1060
Thanks to /u/danieldj95 for testing it out.
Current as of 5/30/2018. High Sierra 10.13.4 (should be good for 10.13.5 too)
Creating a Vanilla Clover Installer
For more information about Vanilla, check this out.
Ramblings of a Hackintosher - A Sorta Brief Vanilla Install Guide https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/68p1e2/ramblings_of_a_hackintosher_a_sorta_brief_vanilla/
Wipe your USB stick, format it GUID/OSX Journaled, download the latest mac OS Installer from the appstore.
With your USB stick formatted GUID / OSX Journaled, the volume labeled Untitled, and your mac OS installer in the Applications directory - copy and paste the below command into terminal.
High Sierra
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeraction &&say Done
Type in your password when prompted and press Enter.
NOTE: You won’t see anything when typing your password. But it is being entered.
Don’t interrupt it until it is done. This can take a while.
This is the Apple recommend way to create a real installer.
Then install Clover to the USB stick.
Make sure during the install;
THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Select Change Install Location and select your USB stick.
ALSO IMPORTANT.
Then click Customize.
For UEFI installs
Note: In newer Clover installers, VBoxHfs-64.efi and SMCHelper-64.efi are no longer automatically installed. Without VBoxHfs-64.efi Clover boot menu will not recognize HFS volumes. You know like Mac Os Extended (Journaled)
After Clover finishes installing to the USB stick the EFI partition will be mounted and you should see it on your desktop if you have Finder configured that way.
To configure Finder like this;
Under General make sure at least ‘External Disks’ is checked!
You should see a new ‘device’ on your Desktop entitled EFI with the same icon as your USB flash drive.
If you do, this means Clover was installed UEFI or Legacy ESP (we hope), and you’re ready for the next step. If you don’t see it, or there’s an EFI folder on the main volume of the stick, it means something went wrong during the creation process. Wipe stick using something like diskpart and the ‘clean’ command on Windows to wipe the stick then start again.
At this point it gets tricky. You'll need to edit/place your config.plist.
Luckily they're all just about the same. Here is a config.plist for your rig. Download as a zip, unzip locally and place it into /EFI/EFI/Clover/ REPLACING what is there.
The config.plist contains the USB port limit patch for 10.13.4 and up.
If you’re installing High Sierra onto a solid state drive you’ll need APFS.efi. Download as a zip, unzip then place it into /EFI/EFI/Clover/dirivers64UEFI
Kexts
All kexts go in /EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts/other And only the .kext files. Use release versions where applicable.
. Gotta have it.
. Injector for AppleALC and NvidiaGraphicsFixUp and more.
. For your onboard audio
. Replaces AGDP patch. Allows for Nvidia when using SMBIOS iMac 15,1 17,1 or Mac Pro 6,1. Library validation added, HDMI/DP/DVI-D audio patching
. For Intel based USB. Also works for newer boards with ASMedia 3.1 Gen 2 controllers
. Protected video playback support and hardware video acceleration
. Prolly needed to be able to boot a Pentium (non i series) CPU
. Grab the latest zip and unzip. Just use FakePCIID.kext. This in addition the the FakeCPU setting in the config.plist will allow your CPU to work
. For your Intel based Ethernet
Some BIOS Settings
Windows 8/10 Features / Other OS (change briefly to Windows 8/10 and make sure CSM is ENABLED then switch back to “Other OS”)
CSM (This feature may not show up depending on other settings. See above. You want this ENABLED if you’re running multiple displays on nvidia using different ports)
XHCI Handoff - ENABLED
EHCI Handoff - ENABLED
Secure Boot Disabled / Other OS
SATA Controller Mode AHCI
Internal Graphics DISABLED
Primary Graphics PEG/PCIE
Control Lock Disabled
Serial Port Disabled
Super I/O Disabled (found mostly on Gigabyte boards)
Once you have made these changes, save, pop that USB stick into your hackintosh and boot from BIOS>UEFI: name of stick. Make sure to connect only 1 display to the HDMI port of your nVidia card.
Should get you through the High Sierra install.
Post Install
We never want to use Multi-beast or install any 3rd party kexts into the system.
Once you get to the desktop, get all the HS updates from the App Store. When you reboot, you'll see a new Clover boot entry. Choose that to continue with the update. It will reboot again and the boot entry should be gone. Continue booting into HS as normal to complete the update.
Once updated and back at the Desktop confirm you're good and there's no more updates.
Check your build number.
Apple Logo>About this Mac>System Report>Software. It is listed in parenthesis.
Then download the nVidia web driver that matches it.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/nvidia-drivers/
reboot, confirm you're good.
Now it's time to set up booting without the stick.
Boot into OSX from stick (one last time).
Mount the EFI partition on stick, mount the EFI partition on OSX hard drive. Copy the EFI folder from sticks EFI partition to the EFI partition on OSX hard drive REPLACING what's there.
This script can help u mount the efi partition. It's made by /u/corpnewt
And a video of how to do it.
Reboot into your BIOS, you should see a new boot option UEFI OS:NAME OF DRIVE
Set that as your first boot option.
Should be good fam.
NOTE This assumes OSX is on it's own drive and no other OS EFI information is located within the OSX HDD/SSD's EFI partition. So - Don't do this if your Widows or Linux EFI information is stored there too. Instead, copy only the Clover and Boot folder from the EFI folder within the EFI partition of the stick to the EFI folder on the OSX HDD/SSD
Once you're booting from the SSD without the stick...
The linked config.plist has good values but if more than one person starts using it, you want to make sure your's is unique.
Configuring SMBIOS so you have a unique serial etc etc.
Get the latest Clover Configurator Vibrant
https://mackie100projects.altervista.org/download/ccv/
Open Clover Configurator

Keep Clover Configurator open.
Then open terminal and type

Press Enter
Do this a bunch of times if you want
Paste the output value into the SmUUID field in Clover Configurator
Copy the Board Serial Number
Then goto RT Variables in the left column
