Want to dualboot Windows and High Sierra on separate hard drives, is there anything I should know about before installing High Sierra?

Hello everyone, I have a question: Is there anything I should know about before installing High Sierra on another hard drive in my computer? I am asking this question because I have installed a new hard drive in my computer so I can put macOS on it and I want to be able to dual boot both Windows and macOS so I can open Mac-only files easier. I also want to know if I can simply boot from the other hard drive to start macOS or if I have to do something different. I am paranoid about this because I have already botched a dual boot installation of El Capitan on another PC, although that was when I wanted to put both operating systems on the same drive. Can anyone please help me? Thanks!
