I want to know if I can use my Universal Audio Apollo Audio Interface, which outputs out the audio signal through a Thunderbolt 1 cable, in conjunction with the new Gigabyte Z390 Designare motherboard, which only offers Thunderbolt 3 slots, and the official Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter (TB1 and TB2 should have the same physical connector if I'm not mistaken)?
