This could be an issue beyond doing hackintosh stuff. I got a link to the app store to download it, then installed it on the flash drive. I used the installer instead of terminal (because i was getting an error message saying it was not a compatible version or something). I got all the way to adding the kexts, and the guide says an EFI drive is supposed to appear on my desktop, which didnt happen. I just opened the file on the drive and added them that way. After reading some more and thinking, i realized that something wasnt right. The size of the OS installer was only a few MB and i got the error message. Now im starting from scratch, and i cant install high sierra, it just wont download from the app store. Most other downloads are just update ones. I also tried to update the whole mac to the newest version of High Sierra as a fix, but nope. I do not want to do mojave. But this might go beyond hackintosh since the computer wont update.
