Open Core removed from BIOS options

Hello Hackintosh community,

I've been running a stable Hackintosh for about a year now.

Recently, I installed a Linux distro on another hard drive. Since then, I've not been able to boot through my SSD with OpenCore. My OpenCore option is gone from the bios. My Windows boot manager option is still present. I used to dual boot macOS and Windows 10 through OpenCore. I don't understand why/how linux messed this up because the Linux bootloader is located on a separate HDD.

My current workaround is to leave a flash drive with OpenCore in my computer at all times and use the UEFI partition to boot with OpenCore. I'd like to use my SSD again, and free up that port!

Any suggestions?

MB: Asus P8Z77-V

CPU: i7 3770K

GPU: Gigabyte RX 570 4GB

Install Method: Dortania's OpenCore Guide

TL;DR:

  • macOS & Win10 on SSD, Linux on HDD.
  • Linux broke OpenCore on SSD.
  • Linux bootloader is on another HDD
  • Win10 bootloader is fine.
  • Currently booting off OpenCore flash drive.

Thanks!
