If your 2012 MacBook Pro is running Monterey but feels laggy and shows no transparency, the Metal graphics patches are not active.

- Revert Patches: Open OCLP, go to Post-Install Root Patch, and click Revert Root Patches. Reboot.
- Clean Install: Open OCLP again and click Post-Install Root Patch. It should now detect the Intel HD 4000 GPU. Click 'Start Root Patching'.
- SIP Check: Ensure System Integrity Protection is disabled (or set to 0x03) in OCLP settings. If SIP is active, the patches cannot be written to the system volume.
- NVRAM Reset: Perform a PRAM reset to clear the graphics state before the final reboot.
