Resolving One-Way AirDrop Glitches
If your 2015 MacBook Pro can receive files via AirDrop but cannot send them to your iPhone, it's usually a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi handshake error caused by the legacy networking patches.
Fixes to Try:
- Toggle Bluetooth/Wi-Fi: Turn both off and on on both the Mac and the iPhone. This resets the discovery broadcast.
- Check Firewall: Ensure LuLu or the native macOS Firewall isn't blocking the
sharingdprocess. - Modern Wireless Patches: Re-apply the Post-Install Root Patches in OCLP. The AirDrop kexts are frequently updated for better compatibility with newer iOS versions.
- Visibility Settings: Set both devices to 'Everyone for 10 Minutes' to force a connection.
Original Question: "Airdrop?"
Hi everybody, I recently discovered OCLP, and finished a successful install of macos Sequoia 15.7.7 on an early 2015 mbp A1502, but I can't for the life of me get Airdrop to send files to my iPhone 17? Which is double weird because the mac can receive files no problem, but cannot send them? Is anyone else having this issue, and if so do we have any solutions? Is this one of those little quirks I get for using a laptop old enough to have seen Obama in office?
