Fixing Stuck Apple Logo in Internet Recovery
When OCLP is installed, it modifies the boot variables in NVRAM. Sometimes this causes the native Internet Recovery (Cmd+Opt+R) to hang at the Apple logo because it's trying to load a recovery image that conflicts with the OpenCore settings.
The Fix:
- Triple NVRAM Reset: Shut down and hold
Cmd + Opt + P + R. Let the Mac chime three times. This wipes the OpenCore boot variables and restores the factory boot path. - Try Recovery Again: Immediately after the third chime, hold
Cmd + Opt + R. The Mac should now load the official Apple recovery servers correctly. - Use a USB Installer: If Internet Recovery still fails, the most reliable way to reinstall macOS is using a Bootable USB Installer created on another Mac.
Original Question: "Open core legacy patcher broke internet recovery somehow"
Like everytime I try internet recovery the MacBook gets stuck on the apple logo and is stuck there every time I hold the internet recovery shortcut key and this has been happening ever since I patched my MacBook to run macOS sequoia
