How to Restore Internet Recovery after OCLP Installation

Fixing Stuck Apple Logo in Internet Recovery

When OCLP is installed, it modifies the boot variables in NVRAM. Sometimes this causes the native Internet Recovery (Cmd+Opt+R) to hang at the Apple logo because it's trying to load a recovery image that conflicts with the OpenCore settings.

The Fix:

  1. Triple NVRAM Reset: Shut down and hold Cmd + Opt + P + R. Let the Mac chime three times. This wipes the OpenCore boot variables and restores the factory boot path.
  2. Try Recovery Again: Immediately after the third chime, hold Cmd + Opt + R. The Mac should now load the official Apple recovery servers correctly.
  3. Use a USB Installer: If Internet Recovery still fails, the most reliable way to reinstall macOS is using a Bootable USB Installer created on another Mac.

Original Question: "Open core legacy patcher broke internet recovery somehow"
