Stopping 'Tahoe' from Rearing its Ugly Head
If your OCLP-patched Mac is constantly prompting you to update to the experimental macOS Tahoe, you can hide these notifications to prevent accidental upgrades.
How to Disable Update Prompts:
- Software Update Settings: Go to System Settings > General > Software Update. Click the 'i' icon next to Automatic Updates and toggle everything OFF.
- Terminal Command: You can hide specific updates by running
sudo softwareupdate --ignore "macOS Tahoe"in Terminal. Note: Apple sometimes disables this command in newer versions, but it's worth a try. - OCLP Settings: Ensure you are NOT using a 'Nightly' build of OCLP if you want stability. Nightly builds are more likely to pull in experimental update catalogs.
Original Question: "Tahoe Os"
Is there a proper way to get rid of Tahoe updates from it rearing its ugly head, Or do I just have to ignore it?
