How bad is Nvidia stability for Adobe and other apps?

I've done extensive research, but I'd like to hear more specific opinions.

How bad is the stability of Nvidia cards (such as GTX 10 series) on Sierra/High Sierra with Adobe and other apps?

I keep hearing AMD is the way to go with High Sierra because of native support, and Nvidia causes crashes.

Any input? I use my Hackintosh for semi-professional work and need a video card for extra horsepower.
