I have had success multiple times in the past to boot into the bootloader to install MacOS. I recently had to buy a new USB drive SanDisk Ultra Flair as my old one broke. I have tried using Unibeast and the manual method with this guide but I am unable to boot into the USB in boot options it just says SanDisk as the boot option for the USB.
Before my old drive broke I was able to boot into it to install High Sierra but I had to stop the installer for other reasons
Do certain USB drives have compatibilty issues? both my old USB and the new one are USB 3.0
