Deactivating On-Board Bluetooth on GigaByte Designare

Good Morning everybody!

I just finished building my second Hackintosh with this hardware: i9900, Gigabyte Designare, GigaByte Radeon 5700 XT and 64 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 32mm MHz. After some serious troubles during installation everything now works fine – except for bluetooth.

Specs of my new Hackintosh

Bluetooth is active – but it cannot be deactivated and (more importantly) it doesn't find my keyboard or my trackpad, so now I have to use both with cables :(

So it seems the Designare has it's own bluetooth module which unfortunately cannot be deactivated via BIOS. In my old hackintosh – with no onboard bluetooth module – I used a cheap USB Bluetooth Dongle that worked perfectly, but as long as the board's own bluetooth is active, the Dongle ist not recognized.

Bluetooth is active, but doesn`t connect to any hardware (Keyboard, Trackpad)

I already did some research:

  1. Putting the SSDT-DESIGNARE-Z390-NO-CNVW.aml in ACPI/patched didn't do anything
  2. I read that it might be possible to deactivate the USB Hub for the internal Bluetooth module by putting -uia_exclude_hs=HSXX into the boot flags – but I was not able to find out which USB port I should deactivate :(

So now I don't know what to do – I only know that I really want to get rid of the keyboard and trackpad cables :) by either getting the internal bluetooth to work properly or by deactivating it and get back to using my trusted USB Dongle.

Your help is very much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Michael
