Hi everyone, I've recently switched from Clover to OpenCore. While browsing through the OpenCore's GitHub repository, I noticed this SSDT, responsible for disabling EHCI controller: https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/blob/master/Docs/AcpiSamples/SSDT-EHCx_OFF.dsl. It's also mentioned in KhronoKernel's guide.
Previously, I'd been using FakePCIID_XHCIMux, thanks to which USB2 ports were directed to EHCI - so, it was a completely different approach.
Is it suggested to disable EHCI (EHC1 and EHC2)? If so, why? What are the advantages of doing that?
In case it's helpful, my motherboard is MSI B85-G43 Gaming.
Thanks!
