Upgrading to Catalina, But backup Mojave

Hi there!

So currently I am running macOS Mojave on my Lenovo IdeaPad 330s-14IKB, which works great. Everything actually works.

But recently I ran into a little problem with Xcode. Since my iPhone is now running iOS 13.4, I can't execute or test my applications on my iPhone, because I'd need Catalina for the newer xcode version.

So I want to try to upgrade to Catalina, but I don't want to loose my fully working Mojave Installation. Do you guys think it would work as a backup, to "clone" the whole drive with CloneZilla? So if the Catalina experiment fails, I could go back to Mojave?

I am asking this because I'd like to switch over to OpenCore, rather than keep on using clover, which means I have to do a clean install.

Let me know what you guys think.
