How to Fix Hello, I wanna hackintosh my Lenovo Ideapad S145

Graphics issues usually stem from an unsupported GPU, missing acceleration patches, or incorrect boot arguments.

Quick Fix Steps

  1. Verify GPU support: Check if your GPU model is natively supported in your target macOS version via WhateverGreen documentation.
  2. Update kexts: Ensure Lilu and WhateverGreen are current and loaded before other GPU-related kexts.
  3. Check boot arguments: Add -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 for debugging, or agdpmod=pikera for modern AMD cards.
  4. Test Metal support: Open About This Mac > System Report > Graphics and confirm Metal is listed.

Verification

  • Graphics acceleration is smooth (not CPU-bound).
  • Metal is reported in System Information.
  • No GPU-related kernel panics on boot.

Original Question: "Hello, I wanna hackintosh my Lenovo Ideapad S145"

Hello, my name is Gren and I have my father's old Lenovo Ideapad S145. I really wanna hackintosh it, but i have different specs than anybody I've searched on this subreddit yet.

Specs:

CPU: Intel Pentium 5450U

GPU: Intel UHD 610

HDD: 220 GB 5400RPM (i won't share much details due to... i think 220gb is enough for MacOS)

Ram: 4GB DDR3? (not sure DDR model)

Display: 15,6" 1366X768

and yeah, that's all i think will be important. Sorry if this isn't enough! Please either DM me, or send tutorials! Anything is welcome!
