How to Fix Random Reboots while using Hackintosh Catalina 10.15.6

Network issues on Hackintosh or unsupported Macs are typically caused by chipset incompatibility, incorrect kext pairing, or corrupted network preferences.

Quick Fix Steps

  1. Identify your network chipset: Open System Information > Wi-Fi/Bluetooth or use Hackintool to find the exact controller model.
  2. Use the correct kext: For Intel Wi-Fi use AirportItlwm, for Broadcom use BrcmPatchRAM, for Ethernet use IntelMausi or RealtekRTL8111.
  3. Reset network preferences: Delete /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist and reboot.
  4. Check privacy settings: Go to System Settings > Privacy > Location Services and ensure it is enabled.

Verification

  • Wi-Fi connects automatically after reboot.
  • Bluetooth pairs and remains connected.
  • Location Services works in Maps.

Original Question: "Random Reboots while using Hackintosh Catalina 10.15.6"

Hey everyone, I recently made a Hackintosh with the following specs:

Hardware:

  • CPU:
    • AMD Ryzen 9 3950x
  • GPU:
    • Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT
  • RAM:
    • 32GB of G.Skill Ripjaws V series 3200 (2 x 16GB)
  • Motherboard/Laptop model:
    • Asus TUF Gaming x570-Plus (nonwifi model)
  • Audio Codec:
  • Ethernet Card:
    • Realtek L8200A Gigabit Ethernet
  • Wifi/BT Card:
    • Fenvi t919
  • What guide/tool followed:
    • Followed Dortania guide for OC 0.6.0 install
  • What part I got an issue with:
    • Everything works well. It boots properly and I can choose between Windows and macOS. Audio works too.
    • The one problem I am having is my system will randomly restart. This has been happening on and off for the last week and a half. I have noticed that these restarts will normally happen while performing mouse actions (such as dragging tabs or clicking on the screen). However, I am not sure if it's just a mouse problem? I am currently using a wireless mouse that uses a USB receiver. I do not think it is a GPU problem because I have stressed tested it on my windows partition for over 30 minutes using Unigine and there were no problems there (however it does make my macOS partition restart after about 10-15 minutes - so maybe there is an issue?).
  • What files/config I am using:
    • AMDRyzenCPUManagement.kext
    • AppleALC.kext
    • AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext
    • Lilu.kext
    • NVMeFix.kext
    • RealtekRTL8111.kext
    • SMCAMDProcessor.kext
    • VirtualSMC.kext
    • WhateverGreen.kext
  • Extra Info:
    • I am using a dual monitor setup and using Displayports
    • SMBIOS is MacPro 7,1

Any help would be appreciated! These restarts are driving me crazy...
