Boot failures are caused by firmware settings, incorrect OpenCore configuration, or USB mapping problems.
Quick Fix Steps

-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100. - Check firmware: Disable Secure Boot, Fast Boot, CFG Lock; set SATA to AHCI.
- Validate OpenCore: Run ocvalidate or ProperTree clean snapshot.
- Recreate installer: Fresh USB drive, different port.

Hi everyone. I have been stuck for 3 nights now =( trying to figure out how to get myself out of this pickle and get my hackintosh working again. Specs
Triple boot
Believe it or not, this thing's been running maybe 10 years or there abouts. The screw up Lapse of judgement a few nights ago and hit Update All on my Sierra install. upon reboot, when clover 4871 loads and i select the ssd to load from i get kernel panic (seems something with lilu, but i thought that was required) pic1 To remedy, i figure updating the clover bootloader would allow me to get into the ssd. instead, with clover 5070 (merry christmas theme) when i select the ssd, i immediately get a full black screen with a white prohibit circle. pic 2 What I've tried
pic 3 Snow Leopard works fine and from there, i can see the Sierra SSD, see its EFI, kext, ect... If any kind soul can let me know what i should try, i'd be so greatful. eric [link] [comments] |
