Hi,
I have never had a display above 60hz before. I finally invested in a real panel, an ultrawide display from scepter. It has two 100hz ports, one for DP and one for HDMI 2.1 .
It is advertised as a free sync monitor, but I believe many monitors that are advertised as one gpu brand over another also have the others sync also possible. At least I had seen it enough times to the point where I thought I would be able to get 100hz out of a GTX760.
Unfortunately I went for a cyber Monday deal and a comparable panel would be more expensive than just buying an RX580 off eBay.
I’m just wondering if there is a way to force GSYNC? I’m on DisplayPort instead of HDMI if that matters. I’ve searched a bit on the tube and google and haven’t found a solution and am wondering if anyone here has experience with their hackintosh and a technically unsupported GPU sync feature on a high refresh panel ?
The specific model is C355W-3440UN If that matters idk if it does I’ve been using a Chungus display my entire life lol
