How to Fix Panic(CPU 2, NMIPI for unresponsive processor

Graphics issues usually stem from an unsupported GPU, missing acceleration patches, or incorrect boot arguments.

Quick Fix Steps

  1. Verify GPU support: Check if your GPU is natively supported via WhateverGreen docs.
  2. Update kexts: Ensure Lilu and WhateverGreen are current.
  3. Check boot arguments: Add -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 for debugging, or agdpmod=pikera for AMD.
  4. Test Metal: About This Mac > System Report > Graphics.

Verification

  • Graphics acceleration is smooth.
  • Metal is reported in System Information.

Hi this is my first time trying to make a Big Sur hackintosh.

While trying to boot off the install usb about 40 minutes in I get this panic message

Panic(CPU 2, time 2522870762118): NMIPI for unresponsive processor: TLB flush timeout, TLB state:0x0

I couldn’t find anything on this subreddit like it or in the guide. Any ideas?

Parts: CPU- i9-9900k

Mobo- asrock z390 pro4

Gpu- red dragon rx 5700

Opencore 0.6.4 with latest kexts as of today

Thanks in advance
