How to Fix 4690k / igpu 4600 HD crashes when i plug in HDMI
This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Prerequisites
- Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
- Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.
Fix Steps
- Check if your GPU requires WhateverGreen or specific boot-args (e.g., agdpmod=pikera).
- Ensure Metal acceleration is fully supported for your macOS version.
- Update Lilu and WhateverGreen to the latest versions.
Verification
- Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.
Original Question:
Specs: 4690k i5 / Gigabyte GA-z97x-SLI
No dgpu, only Igpu intel 4600 HD.
So I can only seem to get DVI working on my setup. Whenever I plug the HDMI in, the hack wont boot
(kernel panics) or if I hotplug, it crashes.
With DVi in alone, its boots fine, get full acceleration as well. I followed Opencore guide to a T.
Here are my crash logs: https://pastebin.com/45TKj2gQ
Here are my device properties:

Any help would be greatly appreciated, ive been at this for a few days now and cant seem to get it to work!
Thanks!
