This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Verify your network controller model (Intel, Broadcom, Realtek).
  2. Ensure the correct kext (e.g., AirportItlwm or BrcmPatchRAM) is loaded in your config.
  3. Clear network interfaces and reset NVRAM if changes don't apply.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

It has taken me a long time to convince that I have arrived at the final configuration (software and hardware) for this build. And here it is! I followed the hackintosh vanilla desktop guide and starting from the sample config.plist for Haswell I was able to create a specific one for my configuration. Everything works perfectly, except for the Wake Up (it's probably a bluetooth issue actually). Below I list every single component I used:

  • Motherboard: MSI Z87-G43 Gaming
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4570
  • GPU: Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 570 8 GB GDDR5
  • RAM: Kingston HyperX 4x4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
  • Monitor: HP Pavilion 27cw
  • External Audio Card: Italian Stage 2MIX3UB
  • DVD Master: LG BH16NS55
  • Bluetooth + Wi-Fi: MQUPIN Broadcom BCM94360CD
  • Mouse macOS: Apple Magic Mouse 1st gen
  • Keyboard macOS: Apple Magic Keyboard 1st gen
  • Mouse Windows: Logitech M510
  • Keyboard Windows: Logitech K330
  • Webcam: Logitech HD C270
  • Spekers: Edifier S330D
  • SSD macOS: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB Media
  • SSD Windows 10: Samsung SSD 840 Series Media
  • HDD: ST9500424AS Media
  • PSU: Corsair RM650x
  • CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper
  • Case Fan: ARCTIC F9 PWM PST
  • Front Panel: UCEC 5.25’’ (2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 & 1 x HD Audio)

I understood I cannot post my EFI in this Subreddit according to the rules, but for more information just write here! Happy Hacking Everyone :)
