This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Prerequisites

- Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.
Fix Steps
- Verify your network controller model (Intel, Broadcom, Realtek).
- Ensure the correct kext (e.g., AirportItlwm or BrcmPatchRAM) is loaded in your config.

Verification
- Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.
Original Question:
I’ve finally got to the install screen (High Sierra) but when I try to install I get stuck at "The recovery server could not be contacted." I'm AMD, my board is ASRock B450 Pro4, I have a GTX 1070 and I’m using Ethernet. I've tried multiple versions of Rehab man's and Mieze's Ethernet kexts ( RTL8111_driver_for_OS_X, Lucy EthernetRTL8125) and nothing works.
What could it be that's not working?
