This mini-guide provides a structural approach to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Prerequisites

  • Confirm your hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, Motherboard).
  • Ensure you have a bootable recovery USB and backup your EFI.

Fix Steps

  1. Check if your GPU requires WhateverGreen or specific boot-args (e.g., agdpmod=pikera).
  2. Ensure Metal acceleration is fully supported for your macOS version.
  3. Update Lilu and WhateverGreen to the latest versions.

Verification

  • Reboot and verify if the functionality is restored and stable under typical usage.

Original Question:

Hello,

I've been trying to install Mojave on my HP Elitebook (i5-4200u with Intel HD Graphics 4400) with Opencore. I followed the guide and double check my setup. When I boot on my USB, I can formate my M2 SSD. Then, I launched the install and it stopped with the message : macOS could not be installed on your computer. I started a Terminal but when I launch the install manually, it stops at 84,6%.

Do you have any ideas ? (Sorry for my English I'm from France)

Thanks
